Edward Furlong, on the other hand, shone brilliantly from the outset. He won Teen Idol and went on to appear in Terminator 2: Judgement Day as John Connor. In American History X, his performance as a skinhead was lauded for its authenticity and criticized its terrifying violence. Furlong also appeared in Pet Sematary 2, American Heart, Detroit Rock City, The Green Hornet, and A Home of Our Own over the years. His acting career lasted until the 1990s, with varying degrees of popularity (including another Terminator film), and he also recorded a song, Hold on Tight, which was only released in Japan.

Edward’s life finally spiraled out of balance. His reputation started to fall apart as a result of severe drug and alcohol issues that rapidly worsened. Edward was eventually admitted to treatment in October of 2000. He said, “I was a drug user who used opium and cocaine. It was very frightening. I haven’t spoken about [partying] in a long time. Playing, clubbing, and doping coke seem to be lonely now. Taking heavy drugs gives me insomnia.” His previous drug addiction problems are clearly seen on his face.
