The Boogeyman

There was no leather mask on the Boogeyman, but there was an abundance of makeup on him. What he looks like underneath all of that makeup is really hard to tell. As a result, we know what Martin Wright looks like thanks to the photograph on the right (see above). It’s incredible to think that he made his professional wrestling debut in 2005 at the age of forty-one. He officially retired from the sport in 2019, however he continues to make appearances on a periodic basis.

This mask has been worn by a lot of wrestlers throughout the years. However, it was this individual, Luis Ignacio Urive Alvirde, who was the first to do it. After leaving WWE in 2014, he went by the ring name Myzteziz and began working for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide under the moniker Myzteziz (AAA). When he returned to the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in 2015, he took up the ring name Carstico. Luis hails from a wrestling-obsessed household.
