The character Mr. Wrestling II was developed in the early 1970s, although Johnny Walker began wrestling in 1956, making him the oldest professional wrestler alive. His success as a wrestler with a mask increased dramatically once he began fighting in that capacity. He was considered to be one of the top five most popular wrestlers in the United States at one point. Even former President Jimmy Carter is said to be a fan of his work, according to some reports. In the year 2020, the ultimate champion passed away.
