As Chyna for the World Wrestling Federation in the 1990s, Joan Marie Laurer made her professional wrestling debut, and she is the first woman to compete in the Royal Rumble and King of the Ring tournaments. She undoubtedly paved the way for future generations of female wrestlers, as she was the first to take bodybuilding seriously and compete in it. The moment her wrestling days were over, she devoted herself to writing and eventually self-published her memoir. She also tried to break into the adult industry but died of a drug overdose in 2016 before she could do so.

Wrestling and modeling were just two of the ways she became well-known, but she also had a brief acting career in which she appeared in films and shows like Pacific Blue and Corky Romano. Because of an unfortunate car accident, her first marriage ended prematurely; however, her second marriage wasn’t all that great and ended in divorce as quickly as the first. She met Brock Lesnar in 2006, and the rest is history. She is now the proud wife of the WWE superstar.
