They wanted the young seals to feel safe enough to stay. The seals were more likely to be skittish while they were young, and there was a higher possibility that they would swim away. The divers tried their hardest to limit their motions to a bare minimum.

The two divers were not going to miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime chance to photograph these wild animals up close and personal. Thankfully, Grayson and his companion were quickly accepted by the seals. The seals began to circle the divers, almost as if they were putting on a show.
