From 1989 until 1993, George H.W. Bush, Sr. was President of the United States. Younger generations, on the other hand, will most certainly remember him as George W. Bush’s father. The elder Bush served as Ronald Reagan’s Vice President for eight years before being elected to the presidency. He was well-known for his ability to lead in difficult situations. He was an excellent negotiator, particularly on foreign issues. He wasn’t foolish, even if he was a contentious character. George H. W.
